Note from JAY

Sports has taught me so much about leadership and coaching.

With over 30 years of sales, marketing, channel and partnership success with technology companies, including 15 years with Apple Inc, and two venture capital software start-ups, I’m committed to “thinking differently” and sharing my leadership coaching experience with entrepreneurs, business people, educators, young people, and sports coaches.

My passion for hockey, coaching, and kids, led me to volunteer as an ice hockey coach in Denver. I started at the bottom and finished 25 years later as a Varsity Head Coach winning a Colorado State High School Championship.

I grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Air Academy High School where along with great friends and teammates we won a State High School Hockey Championship.

While coaching at the First Tee of The Palm Beaches I was honored with the “Volunteer Coach of the Year Award”. Coaches and Volunteers are chosen because they demonstrate chapter leading dedication, enthusiasm, professionalism, and meet the objectives as a successful Coach.

As a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher, and Speaker, my passion is to add value in work, sports, and life. My mission is to help people with self and team awareness, determine their strengths, values, and become coaching leaders.


Currently I’m a member of the Keiser University Business Advisory Board, where I assist the university in curriculum review, revision, future program development, and speak with business students.

When I’m not working, you can find me in Hobe Sound, Florida playing golf, reading, spending time around the water, traveling, cheering on the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos with my wife Janet.

We’re members of Christ Fellowship Church and involved in Group Leadership coaching and mentoring Young Professionals with their leadership journey.
